Welcome to Yoga with Magdi,

Through the practice of yoga, I have experienced the profound energy of life “in action” that resides within us all and that we can each access, with or without guidance.

Healing and realising optimal physical, mental, and emotional well-being can unfold through various avenues. My journey has largely involved identifying and releasing outdated mental patterns and habits that no longer served me. By recognizing these “blind spots,” we can create distance and open up space for healing, growth, and transcendence.

In my classes and workshops, I foster an invitation and intention to turn our awareness inward, allowing us to tap into this inner space, this vibrant life force that is manifest in everything, always present, and fully alive.

With love,
Magdi

Yoga classes

I am an RYT -500 Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher, mainly instructing in English and French. I can also answer your questions in Hungarian, German, Spanish and Romanian. Currently, my classes take place in the North of the Vendée, in France.

Depending on the class and the intentions, I balance and round out the sessions by starting with meditation or with Pranayama, followed by postures (asanas) and finishing with relaxation or Yoga Nidra. Classes that include postures/asanas, are usually 75 minutes long. The classes can be more meditative, yin oriented, or more dynamic, yang oriented.

While alignment oriented yoga classes have their own merits, I most often teach form a functional perspective. I do so in order to be able to include all participants irrespective of their experience or mobility. In practice this means that all postures are adapted or alternatives are offered depending on the participants’ needs.

How yoga crossed my path…

My yoga journey started in Darmstadt, Germany in 2010. A few years of practice and a few countries later, life has generously offered me the chance to not only dedicate more time and effort to practicing yoga, but to begin studying how to instruct it too. That is when I started having a more earnest and regular yoga ritual, which then brought more depth into my life, on and off the yoga mat. However, these have also been years where a deeper learning process has begun, bringing with it fluctuations of intensity in my practice and evolution of focus regarding the different aspects of yoga.

With an emphasis on turning our awareness within, whether it is through breathing, postures or meditation, we focus on the contemplative aspects of yoga to promote physical, mental and emotional well-being.
